Market Fair at Claude Moore Colonial Farm this weekend

Saturday, October 16 – Sunday, October 17

Market and Fair at Claude Moore Colonial Farm in McLean

11:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Admission: $5 (visit the website for a 50% off coupon)

6310 Georgetown Pike, McLean, VA

Do not miss this fun event, which is great for kids.  There are colonial style crafts demonstrations (lathe turning, a black smith), chicken roasted on the spit, and all kinds of delicious (and affordable) food, like sausages and pear cider.  Stroll around the farm and visit with the Colonial family — authentic in feeling and presentation.  Handcrafted items and plants are usually for sale (beautiful soaps; herbs).  The food is delicious and affordable.  Come for pear cider, sausages, cheese, and roast chicken on the spit.  The gift shop, The Gate House, also has a lot of nice things for sale.
